What Personal Information do we collect?
OfficerTRAK collects Personal and Non-personal Information about you when you interact with OfficerTRAK Applications or otherwise communicate with us. Information may include:
- Your name including your username
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Date of birth
- Home address, business address, mailing address
- Social security number, Employer Identification Number (EIN), W-9 information
- Transaction information, usage, and preferences
- Computer, mobile device, and/or browser information
OfficerTRAK may collect payment information when you submit a request for security services through OfficerTRAK Applications. Payment information, when submitted, is encrypted via SSL encryption software. We do not store any unencrypted personal information. OfficerTRAK, or its designated processing agent, collects your payment information (e.g., sensitive card information or other account information), for purposes of processing and completing a requested transaction payment.
Usage and Preference Information
When you interact with OfficerTRAK Applications, OfficerTRAK collects information from server logs, which may include personal information such as device IP addresses, and access dates and times.
How do we collect your Personal Information?
OfficerTrak collects Personal Information that you provide directly to us when you register or modify a user account, request security services, contact customer support, or request more information about OfficerTRAK services.
How do we use your Information?
OfficerTRAK uses your Personal Information to schedule a requested security service, assign a Security Provider to your request for security service, and collect payment information when you submit a request for security service through an OfficerTRAK Application.
OfficerTRAK uses your Information to contact you via mail, e-mail, or telephone in order to give you updates about OfficerTRAK services, new services, or other promotions that may be of interest to you. OfficerTRAK also uses return e-mail addresses to respond to an e-mail we receive from you.
OfficerTRAK uses your IP address to help protect OfficerTRAK and our Internet Service Providers from fraud.
Monitor your activity while working an assignment through real-time mapping and geolocation tracking.
OfficerTRAK will provide you with the choice and means for limiting the use and disclosure of your Personal Information before OfficerTRAK uses or discloses the Personal Information for a purpose other than for which it was originally collected.
Disclosure of your Personal Information to third parties
OfficerTRAK will never sell your Personal Information to any third party.
In some business instances, OfficerTRAK may use the services of independent companies to provide certain services to you, including, without limitation, database hosting services, credit card processing, order processing, and guest surveys (“Internet Service Providers”). OfficerTRAK may share your Personal Information with these Internet Service Providers as appropriate. OfficerTRAK will not share your Personal Information with other third parties without your consent, except to the extent such shared personal information is necessary to complete your request for services offered through the OfficeTRAK Applications.
OfficerTRAK may share Personal Information with its affiliated businesses, such as Off Duty Services, Inc. For clarity, as affiliated businesses, OfficerTRAK and Off Duty Services, Inc. may share Personal Information between themselves where appropriate in furtherance of OfficerTRAK’s legitimate business purpose. Such sharing between affiliated businesses is never done for marketing/advertising purposes. As such, the affiliated businesses do not need to provide individuals with a “Do Not Sell” button to ensure that their personal information is not sold.
OfficerTRAK also may disclose your Personal Information as is necessary to: (a) comply with a subpoena or court order; (b) cooperate with law enforcement or other government agencies; (c) establish or exercise our legal rights; (d) protect the property or safety of OfficerTRAK employees, contractors, vendors, affiliates, and Users; (e) defend against legal claims; (f) help with internal and external security investigations; and (g) as otherwise required by law or permitted by law.
OfficerTRAK may disclose your Personal Information in connection with any transaction that involves the sale or assignment of some or all of OfficerTRAK assets to a successor business, where the original purposes for use of your personal information remain the same. If the business successor desires to collect and use your personal information for other purposes, it will provide you with an updated notice of those purposes.
What are your rights?
Your rights in relation to your Personal Information are to:
(1) Be informed about its use;
(2) Have access to your information;
(3) Correct any errors in your Personal Information;
(4) Have your Personal Information deleted in certain situations;
(5) Restrict how we use your Personal Information; and
(6) Facilitate, where feasible, the transfer of your Personal Information to other businesses at your direction.
How long will we retain your Personal Information?
We do not retain your Personal Information longer than is necessary, taking into account any legal obligations we have (e.g., to maintain records for tax purposes, to comply with contract terms). If you would like to have your Personal Information deleted once you no longer want to use our security services, please submit a request in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do we secure your personal information?
No method of securing information over the Internet, mobile app, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any Personal Information. However, in securing Personal Information, we utilize reasonably, generally accepted technical and organizational security measures to protect your Personal Information, against loss, misuse, or alteration throughout collection, transmission, processing, and storage, including the physical security of our facilities.
For example, whenever we collect payment information, it is encrypted and transmitted to us using the latest secure socket layer TLS 1.2 encryption methods. You can verify this in different ways on different browsers: by looking for a closed lock icon, a green location bar, or verifying that “HTTPS” is used at the beginning of the address of the web pages.
Content on the OfficerTRAK Applications is not intended to be directed towards children who are under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18. If OfficerTRAK becomes aware that a child has provided Personal Information without parental consent, that Personal Information will be deleted from our databases.
